FRANCE
While traveling in Europe we saw many great spots. The possibility of purchasing property in Europe was quickly discounted as the countries we visited are simply overrun with tourists, expensive and difficult to buy in anyway. Here is a picture of a property that the government of France actually debated selling. Luckily it is now off the market and open to the people.| Versailles |
We stayed at one really nice B&B in St. Andre Les Alpes in Provence. The owners were a combination of the wife, from the town, and a Canadian. This "in" allowed them to buy this fascinating building. We scanned the town and it was really one of the nicest properties in the area. The man worked as a Realtor in St. Tropez and sold high end property their. The commute was about 50 minutes each way. That is why you want a really nice car in Europe.

It seems that I have always had a little bit of a Real Estate bug. I look at signs for sale and immediately start thinking of what would work here, what would work there. There are deals everywhere if you look for them. There were lots of opportunities around for purchasing run down properties and fixing them up. The Airbnb phenomena has allowed people to buy these and make a little income. The Airbnb we stayed at in Carcassonne had this view from our window.
